Strong together: WB Firepacks makes technology accessible
To support technology education, WB Firepacks has offered an Electric Motor demo to CSG De Lage Waard in Papendrecht. The VWO students started building their own electric motor. The demo was used as inspiration.
Teaching materials
''A cutaway electric motor was nominated to be thrown away. I thought there was another way and I contacted De Lage Waard. There was certainly interest in using the engine for teaching purposes. After some mail traffic and with the help of Leegwater Transport, the bike is now on site. A win-win situation '', says Bas van der Ven, Senior Work Planner and initiator of this collaboration.
Technology brings life
Mark van de Wetering, lecturer in Nature and Chemistry, emphasizes this. '' Through the practical examples it brings the technology to life for the students. This appeals to the imagination much more than just a picture. They still want to touch it and "taste" it. That works! We are therefore very happy with this initiative! '', Says Mark van de Wetering.
Technology promotion
WB Firepacks is happy to commit to technology promotion. Technology education remains important for new future technology talents. To make technology more accessible, WB Firepacks is looking for collaborations with educational institutions in Zwijndrecht and the surrounding area. Because looking to the future, this is more essential than ever.
WB Firepacks also gives a boost to the regional technical VMBO. Curious about a collaboration? Then contact us for an introduction!
